Rochester (Jane Eyre Fanfic)
At the behest of my Janet, who is indeed the only creatureādear witch that she isāwith the power to bend me to her will (under which gentle pressure I do happily quiesce) I have submitted to the task of committing something of my history to paper. She has documented her own histories at my request, and so now, to hers, I must comply. Previous to reading this drivel, I trust the reader has availed himselfāor herself (my wife corrects me)āof the story of Jane Eyre; or if he has not, I advise that he do so now, without an instantās delay, for a man is not wholly a manāa human…

Finding the Right Ending for The Music of Pedro (or Why it Took Five Months and a Quarantine to Finish This Blog Post)
From beginning to end, The Music of Pedro was a family endeavor and I wanted everything about the launch fiesta to emphasize communion and community, passion and creationāall things I believe define āfamilyā and ought to direct us as we build and protect our individual, local, and global families.

Winter is Coming, and So’s Your Chance to Pre-Order the Book: Music of Pedro Kickstarter Campaign
Iām not going to lie; it would be devastating if we didnāt meet our goal, because even the cost of printing enough paperbacks in time for the launch party is a bit prohibitive, but not without help! Weāre looking to have at least 100 copies available at the event and to do that weāll need between 60 and 80 backers pledging $20 to $40 to our campaign. If that seems pricey, donāt worry, weāll make it worth your while!

While Fiesta Plans Brew, Hereās the Story Behind a Couple of Saint Downās Illustrations
The fiesta for the launch of The Music of Pedro will be a journey into the book, which is why I was set on Highland Gardens as the venue. I want our guests to take a trip from Utah Valley in November to the tropics of a greenhouse, something like the setting of our story: PivƔmoc, Jalisco.

Ode to My Graphic Designer: A Story of Violent Affection
My best friend is a Berrett cousin Iāve patiently corrupted. We were both in junior high when we discovered our mutual love of writing and spent the weekends co-writing stories that featured our wish-fulfilling counterparts, one blond and blue-eyed like my cousin and the other a brown-skinned brunette. This is the story of how I lured her to the Cuevas ways.

Wistful August Wrap-Up
I met my benchmarks a few days ahead of schedule and I have a moment to forget the weeks and months ahead until launch. Instead I look backward. I consider what Iāve personally put into this book and why, what it communicates to me and what I hope it will communicate to others, and also how much I love my dad.
